Un réseau pour les femmes de la scène artistique parisienne
SALOON est un réseau international de femmes du monde de l’art de Berlin, de Vienne, de Hambourg, Dresden, Bruxelles, Londres, Jérusalem, Prague, Munich Montréal, Toronto et de Paris : commissaires d’exposition, curatrices indépendantes, artistes, galeristes, responsables d’institutions, centres d’art ou encore auteures, journalistes, chercheuses… https://www.saloon-network.org/
Le premier réseau SALOON BERLIN est fondé en 2012 par Tina Sauerlaender (peer to space) en collaboration avec Alina Heinze (Museum THE KENNEDYS), l’artiste Ornella Fieres, Lena Fließbach (curator), Sarah Maske (curator), Yolanda Kaddu-Mulindwa (curator, Galleries Neukölln).

SALOON PARIS est fondé en Mai 2017 par Anne Roquigny (curatrice indépendante) et Valentina Peri (curatrice indépendante ). En 2023 Emilie Fouilloux rejoint le board de SALOON Paris.
SALOON WIEN est fondé en septembre 2017 par Julia Hartmann et Aline Lara Rezende.
SALOON HAMBURG est fondé en février 2018 par Franziska Storch et Charlotte Gaitzsch.
SALOON DRESDEN est fondé en avril 2019 par Ursula Susanne Buchart et Maren Marzilger.
SALOON BRUSSELS est fondé en mai 2019 par Juliette Bibasse et Camilla Colombo.
SALOON LONDON est fondé en septembre 2019 par Mara-Johanna Kölmel et Natalia Fuller
SALOON PRAHA est fondé en mars 2020 par Simona Binko, Anežka Chalupová et Šárka Pastorková
SALOON MUNICH est fondé en juin 2021 par Christiane Gorzalka et Eva Lengler
SALOON JERUSALEM est fondé en avril 2022 par Andi Arnowitz et Noa Arad Yairi
SALOON MONTREAL est fondé en mai 2022 par Nathalie Bachand et Chloé Grondeau
SALOON TORONTO est fondé en septembre 2022 par Rah Eleh
SALOON JOHANNESBURG fondé en mai 2023 par Nisha Merit, Dinika Govender et Moipone Tlale

Le nom SALOON fait référence aux anciens Salons parisiens et aux Saloons du Farwest, qui étaient exclusivement réservés aux hommes.
Les rendez-vous de SALOON ont un double objectif : les membres du réseau présentent leurs oeuvres, projets, expositions, soit elles rendent visite à des personnalités de la scène artistique locale.
Les rencontres se poursuivent autour d’un verre ou d’un repas pour un échange informel entre les actrices du réseau SALOON.

SALOON PARIS est un projet à but non lucratif pour promouvoir la scène artistique féminine parisienne et créer une dynamique permettant d’impulser de nouveaux projets, de nouvelles collaborations ou tout type d'échange.
Network for Women of Paris’ art scene
The SALOON is an international network for women working in the art scene of Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden Vienna, Brussels, London, Tel Aviv, Prague, Barcelona and Paris as curators, artists or journalists, as well as in galleries, museums or universities, independent curator and writer.
Tina Sauerländer (peer to space) founded the SALOON BERLIN in summer 2012. She has been running the SALOON together with Alina Heinze (Museum THE KENNEDYS) and the artist Ornella Fieres, Lena Fließbach (curator), Sarah Maske (curator) , Yolanda Kaddu-Mulindwa (curator, Galleries Neukölln).

The name SALOON refers to the former male domains of the Salon de Paris and the Saloons of the Wild West.
The monthly SALOON meetings pick up both ideas: members present their works, projects and exhibitions or they visit renowned artists, curators and other protagonists of Paris’ art scene.
The subsequent dinner together functions as interpersonal exchange.
The SALOON considers itself a non-profit-oriented network for females of the Paris art scene with the aim of creating new projects, exhibitions or other forms of cooperation.
