Actuellement chargée de projets en médiation culturelle au Palais de Tokyo (2020-...), où elle s’emploie à développer des projets de médiation numérique, Fanny Maurel est diplômée d’un master de recherche en design, à l’Université Toulouse – Jean Jaurès. Entre 2018 et 2019, elle écrit pour le webzine queer Friction Magazine. Sa pratique féministe du design la mène à s’intéresser aux systèmes de pouvoir qui maillent notre société, et, entre autres, aux grimoires, aux spéculums et aux diagrammes. En 2020, elle prend part au projet L.i.P Collective, un collectif international de recherche sur archives des revues féministes.
Currently in charge of cultural mediation projects at the Palais de Tokyo (2020-...), where she is developping digital mediation projects, Fanny Maurel holds a master's degree in design research from the University of Toulouse - Jean Jaurès. Between 2018 and 2019, she was writing for the queer webzine Friction Magazine. Her feminist practice of design leads her to be interested in the power systems that mesh our society, and, among others, in spellbooks, gynecological speculums and diagrams. In 2020, she is involved in the L.i.P Collective project, an international research collective digging through archives of feminist periodicals.
