Tahira Karim est une artiste multidisciplinaire aux origines multiples. Elle est titulaire de diplômes en animation et en éducation des Universités Emily Carr et de Victoria au Canada. Les femmes et les minorités sont au cœur de son travail artistique et elle collabore régulièrement avec des personnes et des organisations impliquées dans des projets éducatifs. Tahira aborde les questions d'éducation et de curation de manière atypique unique et singulière et sa démarche créative s'adapte à différents contextes. Ses recherches explorent également la sollicitation simultanée de plusieurs sens dans des œuvres qui ouvrent des perspectives élargies chez les spectateurs. Elle poursuit actuellement ses études au Paris College of Art.
Tahira Karim is a mixed roots multi-disciplinary artist who holds degrees in animation from the Emily Carr University, and in education from the University of Victoria, both in Canada. She creates art relevant to women and minority issues, and enjoys working with people and organizations who have a vested interest in the unconventional and educational. In her work as an educator and curator she uses creative problem solving and practical methodologies to form unique solutions. Currently, as she pursues her masters at the Paris College of Art, she is working on research that explores the use of multiple senses together in artworks, in the hopes of generating expanded perspectives in viewers.
